EMRlogic Launches OD Professional S3 – 90 Sites in 90 Days

EMRlogic demonstrates power and speed of Ensemble platform for FirstSight Vision Services, sees new business solution successfully designed, developed and delivered to stores across California in record time.
Upland, CA – March 18, 2009. EMRlogic today announced the completion of a successful go-live experience for 90 FirstSight Vision Services locations throughout California. FirstSight, a licensed California vision plan, operates 134 staff-model offices predominantly inside Walmarts and Sam’s Clubs. The provider group, in need of a new business software solution, turned to EMRlogic for its rapid application development capabilities.
“We were experiencing data integrity issues with our then-current software and needed results fast. We knew of EMRlogic and the company’s expertise in the eye care industry. We saw the opportunity not only to replace our simple POS system but also to move to a more sophisticated practice-management solution as our business grows,” said Robert K. With the InterSystems Caché/Ensemble platform, EMRlogic was able to re-deploy its client-server software as a browser-based solution. “In fact, OD Professional S3 is a smart-client solution. We have deployed our robust OD Professional solution at FirstSight’s corporate office and delivered a Streamlined Service Solution (S3) via web browser to the stores throughout California. This is really just the beginning of what we can do with hosted hybrid solutions,” said Glenn R. Brand, CEO, EMRlogic.
