Renowned Optometric Lecturer Dr. Kelly Kerksick Joins Morris & Gaddie on EMRlogic “Pen & Podium” Team

Vancouver, BC – May 11, 2009. EMRlogic Systems, Inc., providers of the premier high‐end eye care software today announced that Illinois optometrist, Dr. Kelly Kerksick will join Drs. Scot Morris and Ben Gaddie on EMRlogic’s “pen & podium” team.  The threesome will play a strategic role in shaping enhanced capabilities for the company’s OD Professional and MD Professional software solutions. The well known industry experts will help drive upgraded business and medical model capabilities in EMRlogic’s solutions and further serve as industry liaisons and corporate optometric consultants.

Dr. Kerksick is the chief editor for the email circulation of New O.D. and sits on the advisory panel for Optometric Management.  She has served as a faculty member for The Vision Care Institute located in Jacksonville, Florida, and has served as a clinical examiner for the National Board of Optometry. Dr. Kerksick has lectured internationally on contact lens science and is a frequent lecturer throughout the United States on contact lens care, practice management, ocular surface disease, and clinical communications.

“Most optometrists understand their need for clinical development and ongoing help with practice management but the legislative and Medicare changes coming out of Washington are overwhelming,” notes Kelly Kerksick, O.D.  “EMRlogic has proven to be a thought-leader in all that concerns value-driven health care and compliance.  I am excited to join this team not only for its vision but because I see such unique and robust software solutions in the ActiveEHRs, ActiveCE and ActiveAnalytics.”

“We are thrilled to have Dr. Kerksick joins us.  She is a superb practitioner and also is a part of the Vision Source executive leadership team.   EMRlogic has had an endorsed vendor relationship with Vision Source for several years, and a significant Vision Source client base,” says Alistair Jackson, VP Sales, EMRlogic. “There’s no question Dr. Kerksick will help us enhance EMRlogic’s ‘build a better practice’ vision across North America.”
